Orchard Hill Bedrooms

Our master bedroom at Orchard Hill is one of my favorite places in the world.  That sounds a bit crazy, but I don't know how else to describe it.  Keith designed the space to take advantage of the beautiful mountain and valley views on three sides, with three balconies.  He also designed soaring ceilings with creative angles.  There are built-in bookcases, and so Many windows.

The bedroom is filled with vintage, found, heirloom, and unique treasures from the moment you walk in the door.  I refinished the door, found at a salvage yard, that used to be somebody's  front door.

We have treasures that have been passed down from previous generations, bits of this and that picked up on our travels, and so much more.

If you drop in on us, you are likely to find a bit of clutter here and there, and the bed may or may not have been made.

But, this bedroom is such a warm, comfortable place, that a bit of untidiness really doesn't matter.

At the end of the day, you will usually find Keith and me in our usual places:  Him on the love seat with a book or newspaper, and me in my cozy chair next to the old ironing board, reading or writing in my journal.  There is usually a dog or two with us., or one of our children dropping in to chat.

At Christmas time, we put up a tall tree and this is where we gather with our family.

Built-in bookcases contain various treasures from our lives,, and those of our ancestors.

Presley, a very tired poochie!
The OH master bath is every bit as unique as the rest of the bedroom suite.

Other OH Bedrooms

This sweet little attic bedroom was Nisha's, before her marriage.

Our former master bedroom suite has become a guest room, filled with family heirlooms and artisan pieces.  The bathroom has a real-candle chandelier over the bathtub.
I will add other bedroom photos soon.
