Orchard Hill Edible, Ornamental and native Landscape

When we first acquired our hilltop in northern Utah, I had dreams of turning it into a bit of a Garden of Eden, overflowing with all sorts of fruit-bearing trees and shrubs, and other forms of edible landscape.  I also envisioned the rest of the hillside remaining in its native state, thus consuming very little supplemental water.

Before we even moved into our home, we knew we wanted orchards and had named it Orchard Hill.  I had my young children helping me dig terraces on the hill below the house, where we planted our fruit trees.

As time and reality have come, I don't have the perfect paradise I envisioned, but our hillside is still a place we love, and we always enjoy eating and sharing the fruits and vegetables that we grow at Orchard Hill.
