Our Unique Orchard Hill Kitchen
The Kitchen at Orchard Hill is a unique blend of vintage, artisan, and new features. Here we share a few of those special details.
Our 1950s Westinghouse Range has been in the family for nearly 70 years. It traveled from Michigan to Washington State, and finally to Utah.
When we were redesigning our kitchen at Orchard Hill, we created this spot specifically for the old beauty.
Now it serves as an overflow oven and occasional cooktop at busy baking times of year.
The OH pottery studio makes its presence known in the colorful tumblers, plates, mixing bowls, and other pieces that we use in our kitchen. Even the backsplash tiles were made at Orchard Hill!
OH artisan bowls wait on shelves alongside baskets of toys for grandchildren and other little visitors. Why send the little ones to another room when everyone would rather visit in the kitchen!
Charming original artwork painted at orchard Hill and by friends.

Rolled maps of locations around the world, from India to Europe to the Americas, are a well-used feature of the OH Kitchen.
Locally hand-forged hooks and rods make excellent spots to hang our vintage copper and other kitchen utensils.
Lovely olive wood boards from Italy.
During the growing season, there is often produce from the OH Gardens awaiting our enjoyment.

There is also, often a candle burning, either made at Orchard Hill, or else in a treasured candle holder found on our travels.
